Live Demo | Getting Started on the Ocean Data Platform
ABOUT the Live Demo
Join us for the first session in HUB Ocean’s “Getting Started on the Ocean Data Platform” live demo series—created to help the marine science community collaborate more effectively on ocean data in the cloud.
In this introductory session, we’ll walk you through the Ocean Data Platform and demonstrate how it supports end-to-end geospatial ocean data workflows—from data discovery to actionable insights for various use cases.
ABOUT the Ocean Data Platform
The Ocean Data Platform is an open, geospatial, cloud-native ecosystem designed to transform how ocean data is accessed, shared, and used. Built on FAIR principles, ODP connects data and people by bringing together public, private, and community datasets in one secure, geospatial catalog. It also provides a powerful workspace for analysis and collaboration—creating an equal playing field for ocean practitioners.
The Ocean Data Platform is developed by the non-profit HUB Ocean and serves as our main vehicle to connect science, industry, and governance in pursuit of our mission: to protect and restore the ocean.
Webinar (US/Oceania Edition) | Discover the Latest Global Seafloor Substrate Maps with dbSEABED and HUB Ocean
In this webinar, dbSEABED unveiled the updated global mappings of seabed substrates (bottom types) —now openly available at 0.1-degree resolution (approximately 11 km) through the Ocean Data Platform (ODP).
Webinar (Europe Edition)| Discover the Latest Global Seafloor Substrate Maps with dbSEABED and HUB Ocean
In this webinar, dbSEABED unveiled updated global mappings of seabed substrates—now openly available at 0.1° resolution (≈11 km) through the Ocean Data Platform (ODP).
Webinar | Getting started on the Ocean Data Platform - Marine Spatial Planning Edition
Join the first session of HUB Ocean’s Getting Started on the Ocean Data Platform webinar series. Discover how the Ocean Data Platform powers cloud-based ocean data workflows—from discovery to insights for Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) and more use cases.
Webinar (US Edition) From Data to Action Marine Protection with ProtectedSeas on the Ocean Data Platform
Learn how the ProtectedSeas Navigator dataset — one of the most comprehensive global collections of marine protected areas and their regulations — supports decision-making and conservation worldwide. And discover how HUB Ocean brings this dataset to life on the Ocean Data Platform, enabling users to visualize, filter, and combine MPA data with hundreds of other ocean datasets.
Webinar: HUB Ocean Getting Started on the Ocean Data Platform Marine Science Edition
Discover the future of ocean data collaboration with the first session of HUB Ocean’s “Getting Started on the Ocean Data Platform” webinar series. This hands-on introduction guides you through an end-to-end geospatial ocean data workflow using the Ocean Data Platform (ODP)—from data discovery all the way to publication in the cloud.
Learn how the Ocean Data Platform, a geospatial, cloud-native ecosystem built on FAIR principles, is transforming how marine data is accessed, shared, and used. ODP unites public and private datasets in a secure geospatial catalog, offering a collaborative workspace for analysis and enabling ocean practitioners from all backgrounds to work together. Developed by the non-profit HUB Ocean, ODP is designed to connect science, industry, and governance in the mission to protect and restore our oceans.
